WE ARE ANESTHESIOLOGISTS OF MIDDLETOWN
Anesthesiologists of Middletown, P.C. (AOM) is a privately owned anesthesia group that was formed in 1973 and has been the continuous exclusive provider of anesthesia services at Middlesex Hospital. Our group is best defined by our mission statement: We are dedicated to providing the highest quality anesthesia services to our patients and fellow physicians by listening to their needs and using advanced medical practices.
AOM is currently comprised of 13 partner physicians and three employee physicians all of whom are board certified, along with 19 Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNA’s). Additionally, we are excited to recently welcome three more highly qualified anesthesiologists to our practice- continuing to allow us to meet the demand of providing the best anesthesia care possible at our facilities.
Our History
Our organization is led by Dr. Bernard McNulty, who serves as our corporate president. Dr. McNulty oversees all business aspects of our corporation. He has been with our group since 1997. Dr. Gary Didato is our vice president and department chairman who oversees the clinical component of AOM. Dr. Didato joined our group in 2001. Dr. Gregory Fiasconaro started with our group in 2009 and currently serves as our Treasurer and Compliance Officer.
In 2005 we began to expand our services to independent outpatient facilities. Our first expansion was with Middlesex Endoscopy Center, a three room facility that services nine gastroenterologists. Shoreline Colonoscopy Suites which is a single room facility was our next expansion in 2008.
In 2010 Middlesex Center for Advanced Orthopedic Services (MCAOS) was built. Our practice worked hand in hand with the leadership of MCAOS from the beginning to provide guidance and support to ensure the facility was opened in a timely manner while meeting the standards to achieve accreditation.
In 2015 AOM entered into a contract to provide services at Guilford Surgery Center, a multi-specialty outpatient surgery center.
